Today is the 3-year anniversary of Dr. Tiller’s murder by an anti-choice zealot.

One of my dear friends Annie Mandart created this piece as a final project in her Rhetoric of Place course. It is a spin on a typical women’s bathroom sign, with words such as sex, protection, and women surrounding the body. This project was inspired bySandra Fluke’s testimony to Congress on the Reproductive Rights of Women. The personal IS political, and so are the rhetorical choices that are made in conjunction with our bodies. Fuck the binaries!
Our bodies. Our lives. Our right to decide.
Thank you Annie for allowing us to post this!
…because a recent Gallup poll has revealed that the number of Americans who identify as pro-choice is currently at an all-time low. We need feminism because less than half of Americans believe that a woman should legally be allowed to choose what happens with her pregnancy. I’ve decided to mix the personal with political, so expect more personal posts to come.
